Parking at Holy Spirit Parish Newman Center On weekends, parking is permitted in the "Newman lot", "UK Sturgill lot", and both UK parking lots across the street from church Saturday and Sunday during Masses. Street parking on the northside of Rose Lane (the side across the street from the church) is permitted all day Sunday. Parking is not permitted (by UK) on the southside of Rose Lane at any time.

A Newman Center road trip into our Diocese of Lexington Appalachian region provided encounters with Christ in the people, priests, parishes, and nature parks and opportunities to be volunteers. The group, led by Kevin Steele, met up with Fr. Tom Farrell at Richmond’s St. Mark parish for Friday Stations of the Cross and Fish Fry; Fr. Lobo for Mass Saturday morning at the Cumberland Falls State Park lodge; Parish Life Director Vie Barkhordarian and Fr. Carlos Martinez at St. Peter Catholic Church in Monticello, KY for Sundays Mass and a fellowship reception after Mass. The group also learned about the challenge of keeping flood litter and graffiti cleaned up. The group also volunteered at trail clean up in the Daniel Boone National Forest and hiked to several overlooks and arches.
