Building Together in Faith
For the past seven years, our parish has faithfully pursued the Be BOLD campaign to build new parish and Newman facilities. We are deeply grateful for the generosity, sacrifice, and involvement of so many in our community. Just this past week, we received four construction bids. The two most viable came in above $8 million—a reflection of today’s volatile markets and rising costs. Based on the funds in hand and projected pledges (approximately $6.3 million), we now face a $2 million shortfall to move forward in a responsible and complete way.
Why We’re Still Confident
✔ Our committees and advisors—Finance Council, Building Board, and others—have thoroughly reviewed the project at every stage. We have acted with diligence and prudence from day one.
✔ We are now selecting a contractor, and the Diocese will soon review the final proposal.
✔ We are prepared. We’ve planned conservatively, even factoring in worst-case costs, to avoid the need to return later asking for more.
Why We Must Move Now
Doing nothing is not an option. Delaying now could cause this opportunity to slip away. Costs may rise further. The project could stall—and failure is not an option.
We are closer than ever to beginning. Now is the time to act boldly and build confidently—together.
Development Update:
Introducing the Final Phase — Be Bolder Still
With the help of our Development Office, we are launching a final fundraising effort that includes:
- Personal outreach to current and new donors
- Targeted campaigns to alumni, parents, and community supporters
- Flexible giving options (pledges, stock gifts, estate giving)
- Consistent progress updates and expressions of gratitude
- Parish-wide prayer and unity
“Visible progress on a building project often inspires the faithful by showing the fruits of their generosity. When the community sees their sacrifices taking shape, it renews hope and encourages greater participation.”
— Catholic Development Network
Once construction begins, donor participation often increases. Momentum grows when people see their generosity becoming reality.
Let’s BE BOLD. Let’s BE BOLDER STILL.
